Good to know
Frequently asked questions
◆
Do I need an appointment?
Yes. We're appointment-only so that each bride has the boutique to herself, with a stylist's full attention. You can book online at any time.
When are you open?
Appointments run Thursday and Friday evenings, and Saturday and Sunday daytimes. Outside those hours, email us and we'll see what we can do.
How much are your dresses?
Between £800 and £2,000. Veils and accessories start from [£X].
What sample sizes do you carry?
We carry sizes 8-20, although some of our dresses we can order to size 30.
How many people can I bring?
Up to two guests. It keeps the appointment calm and makes it much easier to focus on what you think.
How long does an appointment last?
Around 90 minutes, enough time to try a full rail without rushing.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing nude or seamless underwear where possible. There's no need to bring shoes, as we have a selection available for trying on, although you're welcome to bring a pair with a similar heel height to what you're planning to wear on the day.
Can I wear fake tan?
We kindly ask that fake tan is avoided before your appointment, to help keep our sample gowns in pristine condition for all brides.
When should I start looking?
Around 10–12 months before the wedding. If you're closer than that, we have rush options from 12–16 weeks and express gowns from as little as five.
My wedding is soon. Is it too late?
Almost certainly not. Tell us your date when you book and we'll let you know exactly what's possible.
Do you offer alterations?
We work with a recommended seamstress rather than altering gowns in house, and we'll introduce you at your fitting. Alterations are arranged and paid for directly with her, so any questions about that work go to her.
How do I pay, and is a deposit required?
A deposit of at least 50% of the purchase price is payable when you order, and the balance is due within two weeks of your gown arriving with us. Everything must be paid for before collection. Full details are in our terms and conditions of sale.
Can I take photographs?
Yes of course, it all adds to the experience.
Is there parking?
Yes, free parking on site, right outside the boutique.
Is the boutique accessible?
There is one staircase to the boutique, so please do call us before you book if you have any accessibility needs.
Can I bring children? What about dogs?
Well-behaved children are welcome. Do bear in mind that appointments run around 90 minutes, and there are pins, rails and long trains involved, so if you have the option to come without little ones, most brides find it a calmer afternoon. We're afraid we can't have dogs in the boutique, as our sample gowns are shared between every bride who visits and they mark easily.
What if I need to cancel or rearrange?
Just let us know as early as you can and we'll try to move your appointment.
Do you sell bridesmaid or mother-of-the-bride dresses?
At the moment, we do not stock or sell bridesmaids or mother-of-the-bride dresses
